Appmore staff got to experience the heat of the stove at the Cook-Off!

 

Appmore regularly maintains a positive work environment and employee well-being by organizing recreational days for its employees. This time, the Appmore team got to experience the heat of the stove, as they engaged in a Cook-Off at The Flavours Studio Helsinki!

 

We were presented with our menu for the evening, and each team had to prepare it. When ready to serve, the main chef from Flavours Studio judged the dishes. The participants were divided into two teams: Team ServiceNow and Team IAM.

Teamwork was the main key to success in this Cook-Off

 

The cook-off starts with teams strategizing for victory. This is the part were teamwork comes to play! The atmosphere was exciting, almost like we were on the set of MasterChef!

 

The teams prepared Arctic char cooked in 40-degree water and basil sauce for starters. For the main course, two different meats are served with Béarnaise sauce and gourmet French fries. And for dessert, there was chocolate mousse with caramel and raspberry sauce.

 

We didn’t escape problems either. Both teams struggled with the Béarnaise sauce; one team’s chocolate mousse turned grainy, and precision was crucial in cooking the meat. Luckily, the head chef helped the teams through their difficulties.

Lastly, the only thing left to do was to sit together and enjoy our creations. Both teams shared stories about each course. The head chef tasted every course from each team and delivered his verdicts.

 

The competition was tough

 

Team IAM took the lead by one point with the starter, but Team ServiceNow leveled the score by winning a point with the main course. Now, only the decisive course, dessert, remained. Read at the end of the blog to find out which team ultimately emerged victorious!

And the winner is..!

 

The winner of the cook-off is Team IAM by winning the final point with their dessert! Both teams created taste sensations that took us on a journey through the world of delicacies. The head chef rewarded the winning team with a bottle of champagne!

 

In conclusion, this day once again highlighted the importance of unity and teamwork among our employees. We want to express our gratitude to all participants and to Flavours Studio. Every team did an amazing job, and most importantly, Appmore employees got to spend quality time together and make memories.
