Rainbow youth sea voyage to Queerstavi Pride 2026

Rainbow youth sea voyage to Queerstavi Pride 2026 will take place on 11 July 2026, bringing together rainbow youth and their allies for a memorable journey from Uusikaupunki to Kustavi, where participants will attend the annual Queerstavi Pride 2026 celebration. The sea voyage is organized by Uudenkaupungin Merihait ry together with volunteers from the Turku region. Appmore joins the City of Uusikaupunki and Uudenkaupungin Merihait ry as a sponsor of this year’s event. Among the volunteer organizers is our  Consultant Iia Haavanoksa, who is actively involved in making this year’s voyage possible.

The event is open to rainbow youth aged 13–29, their friends, family members, and anyone interested in supporting an inclusive community. By providing a safe and accepting environment, the event helps combat social exclusion, strengthens wellbeing, and encourages young people to build meaningful connections. These opportunities are particularly important in smaller communities, where finding supportive peer networks can sometimes be more difficult.

Participation costs €20 per person, and registration is open until 2 July 2026. Interested participants can register via the organizers’ registration page from the button below.

Supporting connection and community

The Rainbow Youth Sea Voyage was first organized in 2024 after discussions with local young people revealed concerns about loneliness and social isolation. Many young people were worried about losing their social circles as friends moved away to study in larger cities.

For young people who feel different or struggle to find like-minded friends in smaller communities, building new social connections can be challenging. The idea behind the event was simple but powerful: create a safe, welcoming environment where young people can meet, connect, and spend time together.

Since its launch, the event has successfully fostered new friendships and strengthened community ties. Previous voyages have taken participants to destinations including Katanpää Fortress Island and Isokari Lighthouse Island, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees.

Proud to be involved

Appmore is committed to supporting initiatives that promote equality, inclusion, and community wellbeing. We are proud to contribute to an event that helps young people feel seen, valued, and connected. We wish all participants, volunteers, and organizers a successful and enjoyable journey to Queerstavi Pride 2026. 🌈
